Specops Verified ID

Identity verification for onboarding, account recovery and service-desk workflows.

Relevant where Active Directory or Entra ID records need stronger identity evidence for high-risk workflows.

Verify identity before access-related actions

Onboarding, account recovery and service-desk requests can require an IT team to establish that the person making the request matches the relevant directory account. Document checks or basic face matching alone may not provide sufficient evidence for these access-related actions.

Specops Verified ID combines government-issued document scanning, biometric liveness checks and directory-record validation. It creates identity evidence before the workflow proceeds, while encrypting passport images and selfies in transit, storing them temporarily and clearing them after use.

Where Specops Verified ID is used

Specops Verified ID is used where an identity check is needed before a password recovery action or during a service-desk workflow. Its integrations with Specops uReset and Specops Secure Service Desk allow verification to be incorporated into those processes.

For onboarding, verification before a first password requires the First Day Password add-on. Verified attributes are then checked against the relevant Active Directory or Entra ID record.
